Watching Jupiter from the backyard
The image above is from the simulation software and displays the prediction how the Jupiter and its moons should have been visible at the given time of the observation (5th of September 2021).
Photo above I have taken with the smartphone attached to the eyepiece of the telescope. Actually when looking with a naked eye directly to through the eyepiece, I was able to see even details of the planet Jupiter. The optics of the smartphone’s camera was not able to take the photo of the details. I was doing my best to set it correctly, but no chance. I will have to try to use a normal camera attached to the telescope. Let’s see when I will have some time to play with this.
