Jupiter at opposition

Probably you have noticed that this month is Jupiter quite bright in the night sky. It is because this planet is these days at its opposition. Where to look to see Jupiter?

You can simply recognize Jupiter from other stars. Its light is very bright and its position is different every day. You can also use the simple map above. I have a pretty bad weather these days, so I cannot take a photo. But maybe you can try.

The Hubble Space Telescope took some photos of Jupiter in recent days (below). It is interesting  that the atmosphere of Jupiter is slightly changing.
