MAVEN orbit insertion – watching live with students

It was already a night in Europe, but we all met in Department of Avionics just for one reason. To watch live event of the MAVEN orbit insertion.

Time was ticking, it was 02:30 a.m. and we just arrived to faculty. Students came as well, so the program began. Connected to live stream provided by NASA, we enjoyed an excellent maneuver and successful insertion of MAVEN probe to its orbit around Mars.

At the beginning of the program I presented some information about the mission of MAVEN.

I would like to say thank you to my colleague and friend Dr Frantisek Adamcik Jr. for taking the photos.
